Staff Accountant Opportunity

As the Staff Accountant, you will:

  • Participate in the preparation of month-end and year-end financial statements
  • Maintain financial records to ensure they stay in compliance
  • Accounts payable, receivable, cash, monthly reconciliations
  • Verify expense reports, invoices and purchase orders
  • Document financial transactions by entering account information
  • Assist with internal and external reporting requirements and audits
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities

You will be successful in this role with:

  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Self-starter, accountability for follow through
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or comparable experience preferred
  • Organized, good attention to detail
  • Strong GAAP knowledge

Amber Payne has been serving the staffing industry since 2000. Prior to moving to the East Coast and joining Staff Hunters in 2006, Amber spent four years as Senior Staffing Manager at an international staffing firm working on their largest national account, Wells Fargo. Amber also has eight years of experience in recruiting and human resource management in a corporate setting with organizations including Sony Corporation of America. Amber holds a certification in Human Resource Management from the University of California, Berkeley. As a staffing professional, Amber enjoys the challenge of connecting with specialized professionals and matching them with quality organizations. Amber grew up working at her family’s accounting/management consulting firm that specialized in helping small businesses grow, so she enjoys learning about Staff Hunters’ clients and helping to add value to the success of local businesses.
