Payroll Specialist

Staff Hunters has partnered with a local client to fill an interim Payroll Specialist position. This interim role that is expected to approximately 2-3 months. As the Payroll Specialist you will ensure accurate payroll preparation, complete reports, and maintain records for 600+ employees. What will your day look like as the Payroll Specialist?

  • Set up/Update 401k contributions and update for current employees.
  • Process payroll for 600+ employees
  • Prepare, process and submit bi-weekly payroll submission to ADP
  • Determine payroll liabilities by calculating employee and employer taxes Enter payroll transactions  and related data. Compile financial, tax and payroll reports for internal and external parties.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by preparing reports and attend to audit requests.

You will be successful with:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a payroll professional is required.
  • Recent experience with ADP Workforce Now is a must.
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Data entry processing, reporting skills, financial and accounting skills.
