Staff Hunters is recruiting for a First Shift Maintenance Mechanic for a client in the Portland area.

This is an opportunity to be in an independent/autonomous role as a Maintenance Mechanic for a company that fosters a collaborative environment and a good rapport with employees.

The Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities include:

  • Prior experience repairing electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Proven experience repairing electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Safety as the number one consideration
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic experience is a plus
  • Experience switching out bad PLC cards is a plus
  • Machine Maintenance is ideal

Requirements for the Maintenance Mechanic position:

AS in electrical and electronics or equivalent experience is ideal

Kendra Palmer

Kendra originally joined Staff Hunters in 2011 as an Engineering Recruiter, and is currently a Senior Engineering Recruiter Manager. In her position, Kendra recruits engineers, technicians, and designers at all levels. She enjoys helping both candidates and companies make the right match, and continuously strives to stay current on the latest recruiting strategies. Prior to joining Staff Hunters, Kendra spent eight years recruiting IT, science, finance, and engineering staff for the Maine division of a large national recruiting firm. In 2010, she was formally recognized for her enthusiasm and interest in recruiting. Born in Maine, Kendra spent much of her youth between the Maine lakes and coast. She graduated with a BS from the University of Maine and an MBA from University of Southern Maine. Outside of work, Kendra is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys kayaking and exploring the outdoors with her family, friends, and her amazing dog. She can often be found kayaking the lakes and seacoast of New England, and aspires to kayak internationally someday in Baja Mexico or the Caribbean.
